A conversation means a visitor-initiated chat. Your own tests do not count against the quota. The first mate never stops mid-conversation: you get a notice when 80% of the quota is used, and you can move up to a larger plan. The same applies to talk minutes: the call never cuts off mid-conversation, and you get a notice at 80%. Once the voice quota is full, new calls do not start until the next period or a plan change — text reception keeps working normally. Overage is never billed automatically.
